Key Responsibilities





Based within our Cardiff WROC control room the controller will arrange bus and coach road transport in times of train service disruption. Responsible for ensuring that sufficient levels of accessible vehicles are sourced to provide a quality customer focussed response. To provide efficient and effective administrative support, as well as undertaking a coordinated daily close down of costs with Transport for Wales control staff Responsibility for the day-to-day operational delivery of the Wales contract. Ensure all incident and accident investigations are managed within agreed timelines. Control team to be focal point on the day for information gathering. Work effectively with external suppliers, colleagues and agencies. Always Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and colleagues. Including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role The role involves shift work including weekends

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





An individual who can develop effective working relationships with suppliers and colleagues Can handle high pressure situations in a calm and logical manner Able to communicate effectively both written and oral It will be desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport. It will be desirable if applicants can speak Welsh. The posts involve shift working on a rota basis covering early, late and night shift patterns.
