Sitting within Brand Marketing, the purpose of the Creative team is to generate increased brand affinity, awareness and consideration among customers, encouraging existing customers to shop with us more often and new customers to consider Dunelm as a shopping destination. Our brand platform, The Home of Homes, is supported across our channels from ATL to organic social, underpinned by consistent creative and a single tone of voice. We work closest with the Commercial, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing teams, among others, to ensure the seamless promotion of our fantastic product offering.
The Creative team comprises four sub-teams: Design, Copy & Editorial, Studio and Packaging. These teams are the guardians of brand creative, delivering seasonal and campaign content and solutions that fuel our channels.
The Senior Creative Studio Manager will lead a best-in-class photography, video, CGI, AI and post-production service for Dunelm. They'll oversee and direct high-quality editorial shoots and guide their team to create inspiring, engaging content for use across all touchpoints and channels, from PR and advertising to web, CRM, social and point-of-sale. The Senior Creative Studio Manager will also oversee our e-com photography, managing our external partner, as well as utilising AI to support our content production.
What you'll be doing

  • Set direction and be creative lead for our Studio, overseeing editorial photography (studio and location), PDP photography & videography output.
  • Lead and coach a high-performing team of Studio specialists, championing their individual development and supporting their career progression aspirations.
  • Guide the team to shape ideas that work for photography, videography, CGI and AI.
  • Oversee creation of high-quality editorial content across all channels and formats (from print advertising to digital content and printed point-of-sale), in line with creative briefs
and aligned to brand strategy - from full room sets to cameos and still-life. * Inspire and encourage creativity, engaging and empowering the team to be relentlessly innovative and quality
focused, and be a champion for the team and their work. * Work with key stakeholders to continually refine and evolve processes and ways of working, driving operational efficiencies and creative consistency.
  • Support the studio team and ensure it has the optimum resource to deliver agreed targets to the best standard, on time and within budget.
  • Manage external PDP photography and videography partner, overseeing creative guidelines, ensuring efficient processes and content of the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Marketing teams, as well as Product Design and Commercial on seasonal, campaign and BAU briefs, aligned to the brand strategy.
  • Work closely with the Senior Creative Design Manager to deliver seasonal and campaign content and visual storytelling for our channels.
  • Be the link between the Studio creative team and the wider business, collaborating effectively and building strong relationships, as well as supporting all creative imagery requirements.
  • Be a champion for the Studio team's work and promote the team as trusted experts in the business.
  • Champion AI to drive innovation and content production efficiencies.
  • Oversee regular retrospectives and competitor reviews to ensure that the Dunelm studio is always best in class.
  • Grow our video capabilities and have the skills to take our video content to the next level, creating and managing video across multiple platforms, and bringing stories to life through multimedia with engaging and shareable aspects to videos through original visuals and narrative.
  • Book and manage freelance resource as and when required.
What we'll look for in you
  • A creative, commercially minded photography and videography specialist with superior levels of experience within the creative studio environment and an understanding and empathy of each function and role within.
  • Inspiring, people-focused leader with significant experience managing a Studio creative team.
  • Expert ability in the Adobe Suite of applications.
  • Able to put the brand and customer at the heart of the creative process.
  • Creative background with a passion for and understanding of photography, design, styling and retouching.
  • Ability to establish and evolve processes to drive efficiencies and smarter ways of working.
  • Experience of using AI for creative ideation and content production.
  • Ability to build positive relationships, connect and communicate effectively with key stakeholders at all levels across the business.
  • Able to brief and manage freelancers and external agencies and partners.
  • An understanding of pre- and post-production.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to critique not just own work, but the work of others.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, problem-solving mindset. Able to work on multiple tasks and prioritise to meet the business needs.
  • Highly collaborative, encouraging positive relationships and ways of working.
  • Passionate brand ambassador for Dunelm.
