Contract Supplies (White Goods) Ltd. is a leading national supplier and installer of domestic kitchen appliances to the

construction and housebuilding industry

. We're a close, supportive team that takes pride in delivering excellent service and doing things properly.

Our finance team consists of six people, including dedicated credit controllers. We are now looking for an experienced professional who can take ownership of the credit control function and step into a leadership role in the short to medium term.

Role Overview

We're seeking a

Senior Credit Controller

with strong industry knowledge and proven results in debt recovery. This role focuses on timely cash collection, accurate ledger management, and leading the credit control team to deliver consistent performance.

Experience within the construction or national housebuilding sector is strongly preferred

, particularly familiarity with:

Applications for payment Subcontractor payment structures Retention

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of credit controllers to achieve effective cash collection. Ensure timely recovery of outstanding customer debt. Maintain accurate ledgers, communication logs, and case notes. Resolve and negotiate overdue debt with professionalism and persistence. Work closely with customers and internal departments to remove barriers to payment. Collaborate directly with the MD and Financial Controller on debt and reporting.

What We're Looking For

Proven track record in high-performance credit control. Finance-related qualifications. Strong communication, negotiation, and written skills. Excellent organisational and workload-management ability. Experience managing or mentoring a credit control team (preferred).

Strong preference for candidates with construction or national housebuilding industry experience.
