Senior Credit Controller






Role & Purpose








The

Senior Credit Controller

is a member of the Accounts Team and will report to the Head of Finance. The

Credit Controller

will perform a range of clerical and accounting duties, supporting the Head of finance with the management and monitoring of all credit control processes.

Responsibilities





Manage and monitor credit control processes to maintain healthy cash flow. Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from account debtors. Prepare regular debtors reports for senior management, these include cash, service plan and vehicle sales ledger debt. Prepare and review credit reports to assess risk and approve and amend credit limits. Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies promptly. Maintain accurate records of client accounts and payment histories. Handle escalated queries related to credit and payment issues professionally. Handle debts escalated to court proceedings, monitor, review and report on the progress of these claims. Manage Group insurance claims, ensuring they adhere to company policy and that correct authority have been detailed. Management, review and control of the detail held on the Group Motor Insurance Database. Monthly check of all trade plates and non-stock asset vehicles throughout the Group. Support the Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.





Skills & Competencies





Previous experience in credit control or a similar role A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines. Ability to work to tight deadlines to achieve the business needs. Strong work ethic and adaptable to change. Good analytical, problem solving and planning skills.

Essential:






Fluent written and spoken English. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail Highly numerate and conscientious Exceptional communication and negotiation skills PC, Microsoft, web literate





Desirable:






Experience with accounting software - Keyloop Drive * Experience within a similar business
