We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Decisioning Analyst to join our Group Risk team where you will design, develop and test changes to the automated credit strategy decision engine.


This role will be on a fixed term contract for a period of 9 months.

The Role




Reporting to the Credit Risk Policy and Strategy Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Build and maintain leading automated decisioning tools and credit risk models Test and document all decisioning system changes, ensuring a high standard of test practices are implemented and adhered to Identification and investigation including data analysis required to support change or incident management Support delivery of automated decision operational procedures required dependent on outcome of the automated decision Ensure all credit risk policies and strategies are clearly documented and maintained Work with stakeholders across the business, as well as external suppliers, to define business change requirements and provide challenge where necessary Work with other workstreams in developing the end to end customer journey, capturing inbound and outbound dependencies on the Experian activity. Support retro analysis work being undertaken to ensure the effective development of automated credit underwriting.

About You




We're looking for someone with previous experience working in a decisioning background and maintaining a decisioning system as well as experience in system testing, including building test plans as well as:

Continuous improvement mindset and always looking for ways to improve processes Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills Ability to communicate (written and verbal) complex topics in a straightforward manner including clear documentation of strategy Advanced Excel Experience using SQL / SAS essential with Python an advantage High attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills A self-motivated, logical and organised approach A flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines Ability to work as part of a team Financial Services experience, preferably mortgages Credit Risk experience in a Financial Services environment, preferably mortgages Previous experience working in a decisioning background and maintaining a decisioning system

Customer focus Strong problem solving & decision-making skills, able to lead, influence and collaborate cross functionally to positive outcomes Analytical thinking & concern for accuracy Demonstrable ability to lead process changes and deliver to agreed timeframes Excellent communication skills both internally & externally, with the ability to tailor content appropriately for the audience Prior experience in working with Experian PCCA tools in secured credit environment (desirable) Experience in system testing, including building test plans
