About the Role

As a Senior Data & AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and deploying innovative end-to-end data and AI solutions that transform our clients' technical environments. You will build scalable data infrastructure, develop modern ML and generative AI solutions, and bring cutting-edge engineering excellence into production.


This role is designed for meaningful impact. While we operate flexibly, we believe our best work happens when we connect. You will spend time on-site--at our London office or with clients--for collaboration sessions, workshops, and team delivery.

What You Will Do

You will lead the design and delivery of modern data and AI solutions, including:

Engineering & Architecture

Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines (ETL, ingestion, storage) using Google Cloud. Develop scalable machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, and transformer-based) and deploy AI agents on Google Cloud. Industrialise ML solutions for production, ensuring performance, security, reliability, and governance. Implement high-performing databases, data models, and storage layers to power analytics and reporting. Apply and enforce strong data governance standards to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity.

Collaboration & Delivery

Work closely with clients, data scientists, architects, and analysts to translate business challenges into robust technical solutions. Apply MLOps, version control (e.g., Git), and agile delivery practices across full-lifecycle model development. Continuously explore emerging trends in cloud engineering, big data, AI/ML, LLMs, and generative AI--bringing forward new ideas and approaches.

What You Bring

We're looking for a strong technical leader with a consulting mindset and a passion for cutting-edge data and AI engineering.

Technical Expertise

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data modelling. Experience with MLOps tooling and Cloud ML platforms. Experience developing generative AI solutions and AI agents. Expertise in big data and ETL/ELT technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, BigQuery, Redshift, Airflow). Strong working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines. Competency in at least one additional programming language (e.g., Java, Scala).

Problem Solving & Project Execution

Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, with a methodical and detail-oriented approach. A track record of contributing to technical decision-making and solving varied engineering challenges. Ability to independently design and deliver end-to-end data solutions. Comfortable evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into existing architectures.

Collaboration & Communication

Entrepreneurial consulting mindset, with strong client orientation and proactive identification of new opportunities. Highly effective communicator--able to translate complex topics for technical and non-technical audiences. Experience providing expert guidance during presales and delivery phases. Skilled at synthesising information and delivering clear, concise updates to stakeholders. Strong motivation to work in an international, cross-country environment.
