Talent Consultancy are looking for an experienced hands-on Data Consultant with extensive experience with discovery phases for E-commerce clients.

Please note commercials are to be discussed after briefing call with the end client to ascertain what the client need from the discovery phase and how long roadmap is for this. Likely to be a fixed price on completion of discovery phase.

Also expected to be some fractional work needed after discovery phase.

This is a very brief overview of the data project requirement that we\'ve been provided thus far. This also isn\'t an exhaustive list, open to input, and suggestions, and they are aware of the fact you will need to better understand some of the current landscape. Some specific differences in their thinking:

- Phase 1 needs to be about "the data lake, BI, reports and analysis will be secondary
- Phase 1 also needs to be focused purely on ETL for the ERP
- Phase 1 also needs to push data from the data lake to Salesforce (e.g., ETL or Lambda functions), to replace in house options
- They will likely still want an SQL interface (e.g., Athena) to the data lake in phase 1, so that our current in-house reports can be moved to talk to this vs the current approach of talking to multiple internal databases

At our client, their data is held in several different silos, including:

• Their ERP System (Intact IQ), and in particular across multiple MS SQL databases (typically one per legal entity), on a single database server, hosted on-premises in their corporate network (managed private cloud)
• These databases are of the same structure
• Intact IQ exposes RESTful APIs
• They suspect database based ETL may be more appropriate than API ingestion, but uncertain.
• A large, bespoke, e-commerce system with an MS SQL database and an API, hosted on-premises in their corporate network (managed private cloud)
• A SaaS platform (Clever Technologies) that feeds into the e-commerce system, hosted on AWS with an RDS (Postgres) database.
• This platform is a headless API documented in Swagger
• Several small e-commerce websites (WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify) and a related prescription portal (Laravel), hosted across Linode, Sonassi, and Heroku with MySQL and Postgres databases.
• Salesforce
• Several training/academy websites (WordPress) that synchronize training records, hosted on Linode with MySQL databases.
• Smaller additional systems (e.g., Cezanne HR)
