Would you be able to assist the manager to support induction, assign roles & responsibilities, provide strong leadership & support and advise the staff team? Do you hold a good level of knowledge and competency with IT skills? Have you had experience of supporting people with learning disabilities for a minimum of 1year? Could you support the development of individual plans, activities and opportunities with people in a person-centred way? Can you work with other professionals and family members in an open & honest manner whilst, respecting the confidentiality of the individual you are supporting? Are you a warm, friendly, caring and a person with a can-do attitude? Can you help forge and develop links with the community? Do you and enjoy making a difference to peoples' lives? Do you have a flexible and committed approach? Are you a car owner /driver with a full driving licence? Can you present information both verbally & written in a clear & meaningful way &maintain accurate and clear documentation? Do you have the relevant qualification QCF-3/5 or equivalent? Or a willingness to work towards this qualification. Can you adhere to the councils' policies & procedures? Are you willing to undertake all relevant training?

An opportunity has arisen for a

Temporary Senior Day Service Officer -37 hours per week, up until 31 March 2027

, to work as part of the Next Steps Project in Adult service provision.

We are looking to give the right person an opportunity to work with us.

The service will support individuals to move on from their current day service and engage in other opportunities within the community. We support individuals with care and support needs, and help people to meet their personal outcomes, ensuring what matters to the person is always most important. This is how we can help you do a great job and few things that may matter to you. You will be part of a new & dynamic project You will be supported to undertake the relevant training, to gain understanding, knowledge and skills to undertake the role. You will receive regular supervision, guidance, support and encouragement in the role.
