Senior Day Services Assistant - CWMNI DDA Day Service,

Llewellyn St, Aberdare CF44 8HU







An opportunity has arisen to join the management team at our Cwmni Dda Day Service which is based in Aberdare. The scheme provides daytime opportunities for people to live active and independent lives.



Cwmni Dda provides support to individuals who continue to live in their own homes. It provides a service to individuals whom are elderly & frail and for those who may have a diagnosis of dementia. The aim is to enable people to remain at home for as long as possible by providing stimulation, emotional support and social interaction.



A dedicated staff team provide a range of activities which are based on an individual's needs and preferences.



The service focuses on providing a high standard of service to individuals using the centre and ensuring that services are outcome focused. The Senior Day Services Assistant will be a central figure in ensuring that a range of opportunities continue to be developed in order to enhance the independence of individuals attending.



Experience of working within a care setting for a minimum of three years is essential as well as skills in supporting individuals with various needs.



The successful candidate will provide leadership to a range of staff and will be expected to support a supervisory system which will include regular staff meetings and supervision sessions. Supervisory/managerial experience would be an advantage though is not essential.



Applicants should be in possession of Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification, or willingness to achieve the Level 3 qualification within 18 months.
