Job Description

We are looking for a senior Delivery Lead to join the Product Engineering Risk Technology team organisation based in UK. The role will report into the Senior Delivery Manager and lead all aspects of the technical delivery of large-scale transformation programs, ensuring alignment between technology and business strategy.

It is encouraged that the candidate will have experience handling the deliverables and dependencies of multiple development teams. In addition, there will be an opportunity to take on some wider responsibilities to support the effective running of the Department.

Specific Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Scope - Ensuring that the scope of each project/programme is clearly understood by all involved parties, driving governance forums to ensure base-lining of scope and change control

Planning - Planning the activities required to deliver against the product roadmaps; identifying and handling dependencies with other workstreams; identifying the resource requirements to deliver efficiently

Technical delivery - Being responsible for the engineering work which delivers the scope on time and on budget. This includes understanding technical interdependencies and working with tools such as JIRA

RAIDs - Proactively identifying Risks, Issues, Dependencies, Assumptions, detailing them and proactively resolving or mitigating them

Dependency management - Ensure all impacts of dependencies are addressed in the overall project plan. Effectively work across the organization to ensure all dependent teams are aligned with the project plans and schedules

Problem solving and decision making - Good judgment using influencing skills to demonstrate business benefits and to ensure the decision is fully understood and accepted
Reporting status weekly (or more frequently as the need arises) with high quality well written updates
Customer Engagement - effective engagement with partners across the organisation and vertically within Technology to ensure consistent communication

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

Validated experience of working in a software delivery role

Partner engagement experience

Experience of working in a sophisticated, high-paced environment with a distributed team

Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal

A real self-starter with the ability to make clear decisions and address problems, generating solutions and ultimately getting the job done
