Job summary

Ofgem is Great Britain's independent energy regulator. We're at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers - especially vulnerable people.

Working alongside Policy and Product Owners, you'll support the delivery of a brand new area of regulation in Ofgem. Your role will be to work closely with the Deputy Director and Head of TPI Regulation to manage a number of multi-disciplinary teams in both policy and digital delivery. You will have oversight and responsibility for projects from start to finish including scoping, building delivery roadmaps, making visible dependencies and risks to enable delivery of key milestones. Through reporting, you will give the Deputy Director clear oversight of the delivery status of the workstreams within the project, support in managing and monitoring resource, budgeting and risks. You will also be feeding into organisational-wide reporting and business planning. There's a great deal of autonomy in the role and you'll collaborate with all kinds of teams across Ofgem such as Compliance, Enforcement, Market Monitoring, Comms and Heat Networks. It's highly varied and challenging work that will ultimately help us better serve millions of people across the UK.

As this is a new area of regulation it is a great opportunity to shape the approach to delivering this big project and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with demonstratable experience of delivering large time-critical programmes of work with multiple workstreams using agile principles/tools and techniques.

Aside from your regular duties, you'll have lots of opportunities to develop your knowledge and be part of the Delivery Manager Community in Ofgem, where you can really shape the way we deliver projects, share good practice across the organisation as we look to introduce new processes and ways of thinking.

We are serious about offering you professional development, training and support. You can also expect an excellent benefits package with great holiday entitlement, support across the DDaT profession such as our People's Programme alongside a competitive pension entitlement.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, and especially welcome individuals from underrepresented groups. While this is a full-time role, flexible working patterns and job shares are welcome.
