THE ROLE

Undertake scheduled PPM maintenance, servicing and modification. Undertake emergency repair and rectification. Identify faults using test equipment.
o Dental equipment commissioning/decommissioning (X-rays, suction motors, chairs, compressors, and desktop items etc). o Surgery installations and safe removal of equipment (X-rays, suction motors, chairs, compressors, and all desktop items).

Fit multi brand PPM service kits on all equipment. EST and servicing using correct test equipment. Detailed site surveys (new installations). Partake in the Company on call rota system in which you will be required to carry a pager and respond to emergency call outs. Ensuring best practise in the maintenance, control and observance of engineering process and procedures for servicing and repair. Ensuring engineering activities are undertaken using appropriate engineering safety precautions and standards. Management of spare parts required for the servicing and repair. Ensure high standards of engineering hygiene are always maintained. Operate in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures. Liaise with Contracts Manager for externally supported equipment and manufacturers maintenance contracts. Attend manufacturer training. Providing the appropriate clinical staff with the latest technical advice and assistance. Mentoring of Junior Engineers. Mentoring to include face to face on the job training alongside telephone support. Creating processes for equipment service and repair procedure. Writing Risk Assessments and Method statements for project work. Control of test equipment and inventories. The control of all equipment publications and manufacturers technical information, ensuring that all amendments are carried out as necessary. Ensuring that MHRA Device Alerts are read, and Serious Equipment Failure signals are actioned where necessary.


ABOUT YOU

Experienced background working with air lines, water, and electrics. Good dental equipment knowledge to provide quotations. Excellent communication to be able to liaise with internal staff and key contacts at contracts. Attention to detail. Initiative and drive to work independently. Planning, time management, administration, and organisational skills. IT literacy including Microsoft Office. Experience in Dental Engineering is essential.


THE TERMS


Contract Term: Permanent - Full Time


Salary: Negotiable Based on experience.


Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday - 1 hour unpaid lunch break


Base of work: Field based - Nationwide - Relocation package available if required


Annual Leave: 23 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service to a maximum of 28 days).
