The Role

As a Senior Design Manager, you will:

Lead professional design management across Ridge's diverse portfolio of projects. Bring energy and ambition to drive design teams toward successful delivery on challenging programmes. Work flexibly across our regional offices and project sites. Uphold quality and technical standards, recommending improvements to systems and processes. Apply deep knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work across all project stages, from pre- to post-contract.

Key Responsibilities

Defining design programmes, design deliverables and communications across multiple complex projects. Review the outputs of the Lead Consultant in project administration and reporting. Chair design team meetings with internal consultants, external partners, and Tier 1 contractors. Establish client technical approval processes and internal quality assurance protocols. Ensure design teams are set up for success from the outset.

Skills and Experience Required

Proven experience managing design teams and acting as Lead Consultant on large-scale projects. Strong background in

Architecture

or

Engineering

, ideally with Chartered status and Senior leadership experience. Proficiency in digital tools such as MS Excel, MS Project, and document management platforms. Experience defining BIM deliverables and managing design programming.

Personal Attributes

A proactive leader with excellent attention to detail. Confident working autonomously and leading large, multi-disciplinary teams. Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, dynamic environments, including out-of-sequence and fast-track projects.
