Job Description


We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Senior Design Manager to join Kier Construction in our Mechanical and Electrical business unit in Basingstoke.

Location: Basingstoke

Contract: Permanent, full time.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the MEP design production, including the technical evaluation during tender phase and production / management of the design programme. To be responsible for controlling and interrogation of the activities of external design consultants including scope of services, responsibilities, fees, programme and compliance. We will look to you to drive innovative enhancing opportunities for MMoC and cost-effective solutions into the design.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assist with the production of Scope of Works and works packages
  • Taking ownership for the review of design documentation for contract compliance
  • Co-ordination and integration of the activities of our external design consultants
Who are we looking for?
  • Experience in MEP design management
  • Knowledge and understanding of MEP systems
  • Experience working with a leading national or regional contractor across custodial, healthcare, education or science projects and external MEP design teams
