About The Role




We are recruiting for a Senior JavaScript Developer to join our expanding IT department. As a JavaScript Developer, you'll become an integral part of our agile development team, working with the latest technology on ground-breaking projects to keep the business at the forefront of our industry. The opportunities within our Technical Hub are huge. We have a clear progression path for you to strive towards to increase your salary accordingly.

You'll work on the development and maintenance of our industry leading CAD based planning system which is used by our Kitchen Designers to bring our customers dream to reality, as well as working on the architecture, planning and design of other innovative internal systems used across our manufacturing, transport, installations and customer service departments.

The technology you will be using includes:
JavaScript / TypeScript ReactJS HTML5 Canvas NodeJS Less

Main Responsibilities:


Build and maintain Wren's custom built, cutting edge applications Write clean code that is clear and understandable by others Contribute to project estimations Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle Work with senior developers, business stakeholders and development team to understand the initial scope for a new project
In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

About You



Essential Skills and Knowledge:


At least 2 years' experience developing and maintaining JavaScript applications Knowledge of TypeScript, React, NodeJS, HTML5, Less and Canvas Experience of using Version Control systems such as Git as part of a team

Beneficial Skills and Knowledge:


A good understanding of maths and an ability to develop complex algorithms Familiar with Linux or Mac OS Understanding of JavaScript programming concepts including mixins, object composition and scope Experience of automated testing Experience using utilities and build tools including Docker, Webpack, NPM, ESLint and Karma Experience of Agile project methodologies and its impact on iterative design ###
