WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for an experienced and emotionally intelligent senior platform developer to join our team. You will have a passion to learn new technologies, tools and processes. We're looking for someone who is passionate about building robust platforms that accelerate development and empower teams. This is a hybrid role and is based in our Farringdon office in London 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday), with the rest of the week working from home.
THE ROLE
As a platform developer, your mission will be to support our product teams by building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure they need to succeed. You will play a critical role in accelerating application development, reducing operational complexity, and improving our time to market.
The key focus areas for this role include:
Tackling Foundational Problems: You will solve core technical challenges so product teams can focus on delivering customer value without getting bogged down by infrastructure issues
API Development and Management: You'll be responsible for building, securing, and monitoring APIs that are reliable and scalable
Enabling Continuous Delivery: You will work to help teams successfully deploy software often and quickly, improving our overall delivery pipeline
SKILLS
Experience with strongly typed languages (ideally TypeScript)
Knowledge of best practices in modern CI/CD
Experience working with AWS
Experience building RESTful APIs
Comfortable discovering what problems to solve as well as solving them
Experience with monitoring application health via metric
Comfortable working with SQL and databases
(Desirable) Experience with automated testing of systems and applications
(Desirable) Experience with system integration
(Desirable) A broad knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Terraform, AWS SAM, Ansible (or similar)
(Desirable) Experience working with Next.js and Vercel
(Desirable) Experience with .Net and C#
