Senior Development Engineer
Location: Hybrid, Stone , Staffordshire (Reporting to our Stone office 2 times per week)
Status: Permanent, Full Time

A Senior Development Engineer is an experienced and capable individual contributor, delivering high-quality software solutions.
You must lead by example through high-quality technical decisions, thoughtful collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership. You will bring depth of experience in software development while helping others grow through mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
You will balance short-term delivery needs with long-term maintainability, helping your team deliver scalable, robust solutions that create real value for users. You play an active role in shaping how the team works - improving delivery practices, advocating for engineering excellence, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and shared ownership.
What to expect?
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and maintainable software components.
Translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues in development and production environments.
Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to improve code quality.
Write and maintain clear technical documentation for internal and external consumption.
Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Designers, and other cross-functional teams.
Mentor junior developers and support team learning through pairing, feedback, and coaching
Contribute meaningfully to agile ceremonies, ensuring discussions are focused, outcomes are valuable, and all team members are engaged.
Stay up to date with development industry trends and advocate for innovation where relevant and productive to the business.
Champion engineering quality through testing, performance, and standards
Adhere to the company's Quality and Information Security Management systems to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally, and diligently.
Skills you'll need:
This role will suit an applicant with Angular, Typescript, CS / Experience in .Net/.Net Core
Proven experience across software development, including requirement analysis, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
Experience writing and maintaining unit tests, with a commitment to quality and reliability.
Strong experience working within agile development environments and cross-functional teams.
Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to mentor others and contribute to a positive team culture.
Knowledge of our Quality Management System and its application to the tasks associated with this role.
