The successful Senior Development Manager, will need to be a specialist in large scale residential developments. We have a portfolio of approximately over 3,000 residential units of which are at various stages from conception through to construction delivery stage. We are also actively pursuing other large-scale opportunities in London and Home Counties.

Our Residential portfolio covers, private, affordable and PRS units, with the developments being a mixture of Townhouses, Medium & High- Rise and Large-Scale Urban Regeneration.

Location:

Strawberry Star Group, Vauxhall Sky Gardens, 153 Wandsworth Rd, London SW8 2GB, opposite the new Nine Elms tube station and 8 minutes' walk from Vauxhall Rail & Underground Station.

Brief description of the role



The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex development projects through defined milestones, from inception through to completion. The Senior Development Manager will assist the Strawberry Star Developments Director to manage the internal development team.

Duties and Responsibilities



Management of projects through defined development milestones and achieve agreed project KPIs.

Assist the Director on site assembly and due diligence during land acquisition.

Directing project team on the production of all relevant documentation to secure all necessary approvals/authorities to proceed with the development.

Overseeing the preparation and submission of planning applications. Secure planning consents within budget and programme.

Overseeing the production of project development brief with well-defined objectives, cost target, programme and deliverables, making sure the development brief fit with our product guide.

Appointment and management of professional teams.

Assist with the negotiation of main construction contract to ensure compliance with the development brief and budget.

Overseeing the construction of the projects.

Delivery of projects to the agreed budget, standard and programme.

Lead value management and value engineering exercise to maximise project returns.

Managing project finance to ensure project spending is within budget.

Overseeing the production of project financial report and monthly progress report.

Assist the Director on budget and resource planning.

Coordinate with Strawberry Star Sales and Marketing team to implement the sales and marketing strategy.

Overseeing preparation for and enable the successful hand over of the project to Strawberry Star Asset Management team at completion.

Required/MUST have:



Established high calibre development professional

Proven track record of delivering complex large scale residential led mixed use schemes.

Experience of working in partnership with local authority or public sector body.

Good understanding of the property development process, in particular planning and construction.

Relevant degree and qualifications.

Personal Qualities:



Strong Leadership skills, able to lead a strong in-house development team and motivate team members.

Outstanding written and spoken communication skills. Able to form good relationships with internal and external stakeholder.

Commercially aware.

Critical thinking, able to analyse complex issues and make timely and accurate decisions.

Driven individual. Able to work under pressure and in fast pace.

Desirable:



Experience of working for larger house builder.

Candidates who came from a prior technical background is desirable.

Working hours



Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 18:00

Compensation & Benefits



Annual fixed Salary: Up to 80,000 + benefits.

Eligible for Performance Based Incentives: depending on personal performance and overall growth of the company.

Pay: Up to 80,000.00 per year
