Are you looking for a role where you can collaborate with people and organisations across Manchester's vibrant digital ecosystem to help the city become a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient city?
Manchester City Council is recruiting for three exciting 2-year fixed term roles to support the continued delivery of the Manchester Digital Strategy: Doing Digital Together.

• Senior Digital Strategy Officer (1) (with a digital inclusion and 'tech for good' focus)
• Senior Digital Strategy Officer (2) (a new role to help us to make better use of data to deliver the strategy)
• Digital Strategy Officer (a new role to help us with programme organising)

Since launching in 2021, the Manchester Digital Strategy has been driving forward our vision for a digitally skilled population, future-proofed infrastructure, a thriving digital economy, and a digitally enabled transition to a zero-carbon city. The strategy also supports the wider Our Manchester Strategy.
To continue delivering on this ambitious agenda, we're expanding our established Digital Strategy Team. These roles will play a key part in coordinating and accelerating delivery further across the city.

For one of the Grade 9 Senior Digital Strategy Officer Role (1) - Digital Inclusion remains at the heart of our strategy. Over the past three years, we've made significant progress in tackling the digital divide. This role will continue this work, leading a small team within the Libraries Service to deliver the Digital Inclusion Action Plan, within the context of wider social challenges e.g. health, housing and poverty. It will drive forward the Digital Inclusion agenda through - strengthening our VCFSE infrastructure and nurturing our cities 'Tech-for-good' ecosystem.
For the second Grade 9 Senior Digital Strategy Officer Role (2)- This role will lead on making better use of data to support the Digital Strategy--analysing trends, informing decisions, and identifying opportunities for innovation. It will get to understand existing assets, exploring whether a platform is needed to support our data ambitions, and what that could look like. The role involves working across services and learning from effective approaches elsewhere to with evidence help better position Manchester as a leading digital city.
For the Grade 7 Digital Strategy Officer Role - This role will support the day-to-day coordination and organisation of activity across the Digital Strategy programme and annual Delivery Plan. It will help keep things moving--tracking progress, managing timelines, supporting stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that delivery is aligned across different workstreams. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working across a fast-paced and evolving agenda, confidently helping the team stay focused and effective as we deliver the strategy.
