ABOUT LIV GOLF

The LIV Golf League is the world's only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world's best golfers. Launched in 2022, the League was designed to expand the sport on a global level and create new value within the golfing ecosystem while enhancing the game's societal impact. A landmark investment by LIV Golf also launched The International Series, a set of 10 enhanced events sanctioned by the Asian Tour, with elevated prize funds in world-class destinations, offering a pathway for leading professional and amateur golfers from around the world into the LIV Golf League.

HISTORY

LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport's first professional golf teams captained by many of the game's most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.


The format respects golf's history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League's award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World's Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.


LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and off-season roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement, embraced by many of the world's most popular sports.

Role Objective

Support LIV Golf's leadership, including CFO, management team and Board, in gaining financial visibility and insights on the business; promoting effective decision making. Provide the organization with overall planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the Company's financial performance. Develop and manage financial analysis procedures, which facilitate the identification of both business opportunities and risks, and recommend actions for enhancing LIV Golf performance.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and reporting to ensure the financial health and operating efficiency of the organization. Build and maintain sophisticated, metrics-driven financial models used to forecast and evaluate growth in revenue, profit and margins, including detailed models to project cash flow Provide monthly reports, critical review and interpretation of results and value-add analysis across all operations Enhance the communication of financial and operating results to the leadership team; develop dashboards and visualization tools to increase transparency; support the evolution of LIV Golf's fintech platform Oversee financial processes, including our annual operating plan, long range plan and quarterly forecasts, and help architect the information flow and methodologies we need for dynamic business partnership. Architect financial commentaries and documents to support key financial deliverables with shareholders Develop metrics to track team-specific and company-wide trends, identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels. Apply an analytical approach to influence strategic decision-making, with a focus on capital allocation decisions and long-term financial planning. Provide financial analysis and commentary to important partners including LIV Golf's board and leadership team. Build clear, accurate and reliable predictive forecast modelling for multiple functional areas Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions Perform quantitative analysis required for strategic planning, business development and special projects.

Experience and required skills

Minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience, including experience in finance & strategy in a corporate finance/transaction services environment or investment banking Professional qualification such as CA or CPA as well as MBA or CFA would be an advantage Expertise in advanced financial modeling and analytic tools with the ability to utilize BI, reporting and data visualization platforms Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, and awareness of VBA macros would be beneficial Experience leading and developing a team Excellent proficiency in accounting and corporate finance concepts Previous experience in a start-up would be a plus Able to solve complex problems High level of commercial acumen Self-motivating/self-starter - confident working both in teams and individually Interpersonal skill - ability to partner with management and collaborate across functions
