Join one of the largest reinsurance brokerages in the world as a Senior IT Disaster Recovery Analyst. This exciting role is pivotal in ensuring the resilience and recoverability of our business applications and systems, enabling us to serve our clients without disruption.


This is a unique opportunity to shape disaster recovery services, tackle challenging problems, and work with cutting-edge technologies, all while contributing to the success of a global organisation.





How you'll make an impact

In this role:



As a senior member of the IT Disaster Recovery team, you will support and enhance our disaster recovery practices, processes, and technologies across the expanding EMEA IT estate. You'll collaborate with colleagues across infrastructure, application support, system architecture, service management, and more, promoting continuity best practices throughout the application/system lifecycle. Mentor and support fellow colleagues.

Key Responsibilities




Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and test checklists.


Manage and deliver physical DR testing, including scheduling, resource coordination, and reporting.


Maintain corporate DR tools (e.g., DRAIP, JIRA) and ensure accurate documentation.


Support IT projects with DR design, advice, and pre-go-live actions.


Escalate gaps in the DR environment and deputise for the DR Manager as needed.


Ensure junior team members are effectively utilised and competent.





About You

Qualifications & Skills




Member of BCI, CBCI, or CBCP/DRII.


ITIL certifications preferred.


Strong knowledge of BC/DR best practices and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).


Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Flexible and proactive approach with attention to detail.

Additional Requirements




Willingness to travel across the UK and potentially internationally; this will be infrequent.


Flexible working - this role is hybrid, with 2 - 3 days a week in our Wakefield or London office


Must be eligibility to work in the UK.
