They are now looking for a
Senior Drainage Consultant
with hands-on experience in providing pre-planning drainage consultancy services, particularly in the residential, renewable energy, and utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
Independently produce sustainable drainage strategies, detailed designs, hydraulic modelling, calculations, and associated reports.
Provide mentorship to junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the drainage discipline.
Ensure deliverables meet relevant national and local flood risk policies, drainage legislation, and industry best practices.
Participate in quality assurance processes and provide constructive feedback on drainage deliverables.
Conduct site visits to collect relevant flood risk and drainage data.
Lead consultations with stakeholders such as the EA, SEPA, LLFAs, IDBs, and Sewerage Undertakers.
Attend design team meetings and provide expert consultancy advice.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including specialists in flood risk, hydrology, ecology, construction, and aquatic environments.
Support bid and tender preparation as needed.
About You:
4-6+ years' experience in drainage and surface water management.
Degree in civil engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.
Membership of a relevant professional body and ideally working toward chartered status.
Strong working knowledge of CIRIA C753 SuDS Manual, non-statutory technical standards, building regulations, and local drainage guidance.
Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and InfoDrainage, with the ability to work independently.
Proven experience delivering policy-compliant drainage strategies for complex development proposals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in project management and process improvement.
A full UK driving licence is required.
