Senior Early Years Educator (Full-Time, Permanent)

At Safari Childcare, we go on wild adventures every day--and not just with the children! We're looking for a confident, caring, and motivated Senior Early Years Educator to help guide our team and support the smooth running of the setting.

About the Role:

As a Senior, you'll be a vital member of the leadership team--working closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and learning across the setting. You'll be a role model for the team, a warm and trusted adult for the children, and a positive point of contact for families.

In the absence of the Deputy or Manager, you'll confidently step up to support daily operations, while always leading with kindness, professionalism, and that Safari sparkle.

What You'll Do:

Lead room practice and guide your team with confidence and clarity Actively support the Deputy and Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery Take responsibility for safeguarding and health & safety standards across the room Use our systems confidently: EY Log, EY Manage, EY Engage, and People Bunch Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues Model great communication, reflective practice, and teamwork Support with training and coaching newer team members
What We're Looking For:

Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Experience in a nursery or preschool setting, ideally with some leadership or key person responsibility A strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development A natural leader who remains calm under pressure and inspires confidence in others Someone organised, friendly, and eager to grow within a leadership role
