PART TIME APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED



MFT Community Eating Disorder Service are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their highly skilled multi disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and intervention to a caseload of young people and their families across the MFT footprint. This post will be within Central Manchester, North Manchester and Salford. The successful candidate will be expected to travel between our bases at The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, The Bridge (CAMHS) and Pendleton Gateway (CAMHS).



The successful candidate will undertake any and all training pertinent to the role. Clinical and management supervision will be provided, along with may opportunities for continued professional development.



You would be joining a passionate team with an excellent reputation, locally, regionally and nationally. The team consists of Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Senior Eating Disorder Practitioners, Eating Disorder Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Dietitians, Family Therapists, CBT therapists, Clinical support workers and admin. We pride ourselves on providing specialist and timely treatment to all of our young people and their families. We provide a range of therapies and interventions, including (but not limited to) systemic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural therapy, Compassionate Focused Therapy, and Adolescent Focused Therapy.



To be clinically responsible for a caseload of young people with a Primary Eating Disorder

To provide clinical assessments (along with another member of the team) to determine if a patient has a Primary Eating Disorder, and to signpost and provide onward referrals where appropriate

To deliver NICE concordant specialist treatment (training to be provided)

To liaise with other members of the MDT to ensure safe and joint working.

To liaise with external MDT members where necessary

To provide supervision to junior members of the team

To provide training to external agencies

To support young people on our intensive support pathway, including paediatric ward reviews and community re-feeding

To support the future developments of the service
