PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 50,000 - 60,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of The Role
Join BBC Sport's digital team to shape how millions of users experience sport online. As a Senior Editorial Manager, you'll lead the delivery, curation, and optimisation of content across the BBC Sport website, app and iPlayer. You'll play a key role in content discovery, team leadership and cross-platform collaboration, ensuring our digital services remain world class and audience focused.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

• Lead editorial best practices in content presentation, sub-editing, publishing, and imagery.
• Ensure all content meets BBC standards of accuracy, impartiality, and diversity.
• Champion inclusive storytelling across BBC Sport's digital platforms.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Editorial teams to enhance content discovery and user experience.
• Manage live output and weekend curation, including iPlayer, Red Button, and YouTube.
• Use data and insights to inform editorial decisions and track performance against KPIs.
• Support cross-promotion campaigns and audience growth initiatives.
• Provide editorial input into product development and production tools.
• Lead change initiatives and support team development in line with BBC Sport's digital strategy.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Proven experience in digital sports content and audience engagement.
• Strong editorial judgement and creative thinking.
• Experience managing homepage or content curation in a sports environment.
• Excellent sports knowledge and awareness of UK regional audiences.
• Strong data literacy and ability to interpret performance metrics.
• Ability to lead during live events and out-of-hours editorial operations.
