a Senior Electrical Project Engineer
to join our dynamic team at
Birmingham Airport
. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical and specialist systems projects in a live airport environment, where safety, precision, and innovation are critical.
Who We're Looking For
IOSH or SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card (required).
Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC or NVQ Level 3/4 in Building Services; a degree in Project Management or Engineering
is desirable but not essential.
Strong and proven experience in electrical building services engineering.
Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects successfully.
Excellent leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management skills.

What you'll be doing
Lead and manage the electrical building services aspects of projects from concept through to completion.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and programme requirements.
Champion a culture of safety excellence, supporting and implementing health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
Develop, review, and analyse detailed electrical designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, security, data, life safety systems, and other specialist systems in buildings.
Monitor project budgets and programmes, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies while optimising resource allocation.
Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to reduce potential impact.
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and present technical solutions clearly and effectively.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems seamlessly and mentor junior engineers in their professional development.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, proposing improvements to engineering processes and methodologies
