Job Description
We are supporting a leading specialist manufacturer of scientific instruments in their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer. This is a pivotal role within the design team as the business focuses on R&D to develop the next generation of their product range. You will be the technical lead for all Electrical engineering and work closely with the manufacturing department to ensure a smooth transition to production.
Core duties include:
- Manage electrical design for new products
- Maintain, modify and create electrical designs
- Provide support for Electronic design
- Oversee third party suppliers of electrical systems
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering to develop next generation product lines
- A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Experience of power electronic designs
- Fault-finding of electrical and electronic circuitry
- Experience of working with complex electromechanical systems
- Understanding of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and control panel design
- Use of EPlan Electric P8 software
