Mace consult manages the integrated project management office (IPMO) for the client's real estate services (RES). RES's projects are managed by main delivery partners (MDP's) that cover five regions: ASP, MENAT, Europe, UK, USA and LAM. It operates from two hubs, one in Hong Kong, responsible for the east regions (ASP and MENAT) and the other in London, responsible for the west regions (Europe, UK, USA and LATAM).
As part of its role, the IPMO is responsible for project delivery governance which in part is managed by the design and Engineering team. The engineering team is responsible for overseeing and assuring that engineering and security design is delivered in accordance with the client's engineering and security standards and governance processes. The team provides governance and advisory services, advising the client and guiding the main delivery partners and the MEP consultants through every phase of the projects and reporting back to the client.

As a member of the Engineering team, you will work closely with the regional engineering leads based in Hong Kong and London throughout the projects' lifecycle to maintaining design quality and compliance, supporting the process of managing the design governance and assurance of engineering projects around the globe. You will also work closely with the client to understand their challenges and needs and offer fresh ideas grounded in innovation.
As the Engineering (security) lead you will also be responsible for the physical security function across the bank's west markets. This pivotal role works in close collaboration with the markets security teams to plan, execute, and manage risk-based security reviews.
The role also involves oversight of small-project governance, management of supply chain aspects for specified security products and services and coordination with the security and global procurement unit (GPU) in order to ensure the protection of all personnel, premises, cash/valuables, and critical operations through robust controls, compliance with standards, and the implementation of commercially viable supplier frameworks.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented Engineer seeking to broaden their experience working on international corporate banking projects. It enables meaningful impact by safeguarding people, assets, and operations through rigorous compliance to MEP and security standards, governance frameworks and assurance procedures. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teams committed to high standards and continuous improvement across diverse markets.
You'll be responsible for:
Ensuring project-level compliance to engineering and security standards.
Approving designs against the client's and industry standards and ensure consistent as?builts, asset registers, and other handover documentation.
Establishing and run the small projects governance and evergreening framework (e.g., site upgrades, system replacements, minor fit?outs, relocations) ensuring minimal downtime and compliant change control.
Developing gateway governance processes.
Providing requirements to digital platforms to support governance strategies and processes.
Identifying, supporting, reviewing, tracking and managing deviations from engineering and security standards.
Contributing to the engineering and security standards development.
Attending meetings and workshops with project teams to gain insights into project level design progress.
Ensuring that various stakeholders are fully informed and trained regarding engineering and security governance and assurance processes.
Working collaboratively with the other IPMO team workstreams.
Providing assurance reporting, including scorecards, KPIs, and trend analyses, for the market stakeholders.
Sharing design successes, key learnings and market knowledge/insights.
Conducting and oversee comprehensive security risk reviews and maintain a risk register, develop treatment plans, and track action closure, reporting progress to the market's security leadership.
Coordinating with local facilities management, real estate services, technology, legal/privacy, and compliance teams to ensure security reviews comply with regional regulations and data protection requirements.
Partnering with GPU and security teams to shape and maintain MSAs/framework agreements for selected security systems, integrators, and services (maintenance, monitoring, guarding).
Supporting supplier prequalification, due diligence, and ongoing performance management.
Ensuring supplier contracts reflect the bank's requirements for security, safety, privacy, and operational resilience.
Collaborating on budget planning (OpEx/CapEx) and contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and benefits realisation (savings/avoidance).
You'll need to have:Electrical Engineer with proven experience in MEP Services and physical security management within banking, finance, or a similarly regulated sector.
Demonstrated capability in leading projects and delivering against operational objectives.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong understanding of supplier management, contract frameworks, and budget planning.
Ability to interpret and apply regional regulations and data protection requirements.
