About the role


Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Package Manager to join our outstanding Major Projects team to work at our Old Oak Common development in London - join us and be part of the largest construction project in the UK.

HS2s new c. 1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UKs best-connected rail station once completed. Our Balfour Beatty VINCI SYTRA joint venture will be responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the station in Northwest London.

Upon completion, the new station will boast six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line. Old Oak Common will also provide highspeed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland, and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. Incorporating passenger and retail facilities, the new station will provide an exceptional customer experience for both passengers and visitors to the station.


What you'll be doing


You will be with the existing Senior Electrical Package Manager / MEP Lead in


assessing the information made available by the client and design partner,


proposing optimisations of the design and the content of the construction works,


supporting the producing the construction programme, producing construction


methodologies in particular for consenting purposes, leading on the definition of


the scope of the package and participating in the planning, procurement and


technical input of the packages including the, Electrical, Fire Detection and Alarm,


CCTV, WiFi, Radio. Telephony, Customer Information and Station Management.

You will be responsible for the management of the packages from inception and


delivery.

Managing the Electrical Fire and Comms elements associated with the entire
development.

Management the appointed sub-contractor(s) to deliver the Electrical Fire
and Comms systems

Ensuring the scope of works are delivered to an exemplar standard in terms
of Health and Safety, Quality, Environment & Sustainability.

Ensuring quality standards are achieved, maintained and then improved
upon.

Championing innovation and new ways of working where appropriate. Ensuring adequate input and management is provided in the design,
constructability, consents and 3rd party approvals, procurement and


subsequent construction processes and snagging including handover and


assurance deliverables.

Fostering an open, transparent and professional relationship with all
stakeholders and fulfilling the construction partner role to the satisfaction of


HS2.
Who we're looking for




Project Management experience
Knowledge of NEC Contract
You must be a capable and confident communicator, comfortable working in an

open, challenging, and collaborative environment.

You will demonstrate a passion for leaving a positive legacy in the communities

we serve.

You must have experience of working in or around a rail environment. You will

demonstrate capability and energy in bringing variety of different processes and


workstreams together - design, consents, procurement - to ensure package


delivery risk is minimised
