Key Responsibilities





You'll join our Hardware team responsible for designing and developing Indra's family of electric vehicle supply equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for PCBA design of new variants of existing products, along with new product development. This is a varied role with diverse technical challenges so would suit a strong electronic engineer with a broad skillset, who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle.



For strong candidates, there is the potential to progress into an Acting Electronics Lead role, offering an increased responsibility opportunity within the team.




Electronics development from requirements definition, design, development, prototype, verification, production readiness, reliability and cost optimisation Authoring and running of development test plans and test reports Designing for international regulatory compliance (UKCA, CE, UL etc), EMC, manufacturability, reliability and production test Accurate documentation as part of the design and development process Support with component selection, pricing and lead time data for design and manufacturing operations Review of schematics, layouts, and documents generated by other team members Triage, investigation, and root cause analysis of production test failures Rework, modification & repair of electronic assemblies/ PCBA Undertaking reliability and accelerated life testing Performing other reasonable tasks in line with business requirements



Qualifications




Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or equivalent, with related experience preferably within electric vehicle charging or consumer product development



Essential Skills




10+ years of demonstrable experience within electronic sub-assembly development for volume production Schematic capture and PCB design using modern tools KiCAD (preferred) or Altium etc. Design for Manufacture, DFMEAs/Reliability analysis Investigation and resolution of EMC non-compliances Version control of design files using Github Good attention to detail for producing technical documentation Demonstrable understanding of high technology product development Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment Knowledge of operating within an ISO 9001 quality system.



Desirable Skills




IPC Certified - Rework, modification & repair of electronic assemblies Understanding of EV charging systems and related standards (IEC 61851 etc) Use of Project tools including JIRA and Confluence
