About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity, and complex needs to live their best lives? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Enablement Worker to join our team at Kentish Road Respite Service.
You'll play a key role in:

  • Leading and supporting a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support.
  • Building trusted relationships with people and their carers, having conversations about what matters most to them, and promoting independence, health, and wellbeing.
  • Reviewing and coordinating outcome-focused care and support plans, ensuring they are strengths-based and tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensuring effective deployment of staff and smooth day-to-day operations, including managing unplanned absences and changes to service capacity.
  • Acting as a role model for best practice, safeguarding, and equality, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, colleagues
We're looking for someone who:
  • Holds a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or is willing to work towards Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care), with functional skills in English and Maths at Level 2.
  • Has at least two years' experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity, or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
  • Has previous experience in a staff supervisory role, with a strong understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Communicates effectively, adapts to different needs, and can build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Is confident using digital systems (at least Level 1, ideally some Level 2 competencies).
  • Is committed to continuous professional development, reflective practice, and maintaining their own wellbeing.
  • Can work flexibly across directly delivered services, including lone working and unsocial hours as required.

Salary: The salary band for this role is 32,061 - 36,361. The starting salary is 32,061 with annual progression through the salary bands.
