An essential part of making this happen is ensuring our IT equipment and systems support all of our activities, and that the RNLI IT team is able to support all our users, volunteers and supporters.
Our End User Computing team ensure RNLI staff and volunteers receive first class support on the IT services and systems that support our lifesaving operations. The team interacts with a wide range of stakeholders - including our volunteers - which means customer service skills, as well as technical competence, are key to ensuring we deliver effectively, and that is where you come in.
About the role
Our Senior End User Computing (EUC) Analyst will be responsible for managing the technical escalations of the IT Service Desk, which provides first and second line support for desktop services. These include the Microsoft 365 suite, Windows 10 & 11, SCCM, Intune, Client Laptop and Desktops, Apple products, Printers, Tablets and Mobile telephony. The team also provide support to the RNLI College/hotel audio-visual and customer systems.
The role will work with the Technical Specialists to ensure that we are future-proofing our hardware and software estate and listening to the business about the way they need technology to drive lifesaving initiatives.
The Senior EUC Analyst will also hold specific subject matter specialisms and participate in fusion events and projects.
About you
We are looking for a highly organised individual, with strong analytical and coaching skills to enhance the service and the future prospects of the team and the ability to handle high volumes of work within a fast-paced environment. You will need to demonstrate strong logistical skills to maintain the service, including day to day task direction of our team. With keen attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving, you will be an effective communicator and leader with experience of dealing with colleagues at all levels of the business and suppliers in a professional and confident manner.
Knowledge of Teams rooms would be beneficial as this role involves some AV (audio visual) support. This role will include some out-of-hours on-call support for our AV (audio visual) systems running in the RNLI College. This includes our state-of-the-art Lifeboat Simulator (training will be provided). This out-of-hours support may require a visit to our Poole site. You will be compensated for providing out-of-hours support.
Our Senior EUC Analyst will have:

  • Substantial experience of Microsoft 365 suite. Along with support knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Managed Desktop environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 & 11/Office 365 products, features, and releases desirable
  • Experience working in a mid-scale or enterprise environment with more than 2000 users and in a customer support, service-level based environment and able to demonstrate application of ITIL methodologies within IT Service provision.
  • Awareness of Project Methodology and Microsoft Autopilot desirable.
A flexible attitude is essential as some work may be required outside of normal working hours including evening and weekends, and you will be part on an on-call rota. Some travel may be necessary, so a driving licence is required.
