Senior Endoscopy Scrub Theatre Practitioner Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7Perform various endoscopic procedures, such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and endobronchial ultrasound.
\xc2\xb7Assist the endoscopist during procedures, providing continuous patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and offering patient education.
\xc2\xb7Prepare the endoscopy suite and equipment, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and optimal functionality.
\xc2\xb7Collaborate with the surgical team, including anaesthetists, scrub nurses, and recovery staff.
\xc2\xb7Mentor and supervise junior nursing staff, providing guidance and support when needed.
\xc2\xb7Manage the endoscopy unit, including procedure scheduling, staffing coordination, and accurate record-keeping.
\xc2\xb7Stay updated on advancements in endoscopy nursing and adhere to best practice guidelines.
Senior Endoscopy Scrub Theatre Practitioner Requirements:
\xc2\xb7Bachelor\'s degree in nursing or equivalent.
\xc2\xb7Postgraduate training in endoscopy nursing.
\xc2\xb7Current certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
\xc2\xb7Relevant courses in leadership and management.
