We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our MSP team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within an MSP environment.
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our team, acting as a key escalation point for complex technical issues and providing advanced troubleshooting and support. You will collaborate closely with the CTO to develop and implement innovative solutions tailored to our clients' needs, ensuring that our services remain cutting-edge and effective. An understanding and experience with automation and Microsoft Graph is important. This role requires a demonstrated history of delivering projects and supporting various environments, including but not limited to:
Microsoft Technologies: EntraID, Hybrid AD, InTune, MS Defender, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Azure Virtual Desktop, MS Graph API
Networking: Meraki, Fortigate, Unifi, VPN, Core Networking Technologies
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an escalation point for our team, providing advanced troubleshooting and support for complex issues.
Collaborate with the CTO to develop and implement innovative solutions tailored to our clients' needs.
Lead and assist with projects for our helpdesk clients, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
Proactively review client tenancies, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending enhancements to optimize performance, security, and user experience.
Build and troubleshoot networks, ensuring optimal functionality, reliability, and security.
Work with Head of Managed IT Services to help reduce client issues on the helpdesk
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving our service offerings and maintaining our competitive edge.
Mentor and train engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Requirements:
Proven experience (at least 6 years) in an MSP environment, with a strong understanding of MSP operations and client management. Experience working with clients with <>300 staff or more.
Proficiency with ConnectWise or similar ticketing systems, demonstrating effective use in managing and resolving support requests.
Hands-on experience with the technologies listed above
Strong background in network building and troubleshooting, with a deep understanding of networking principles and best practices.
Demonstrated history of qualifications and continuous upskilling, including certifications or similar qualifications such as:
Advanced certifications in Azure and/or Microsoft 365
Security certifications related to Microsoft environments
Networking certifications such as Cisco or CompTIA
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and team members.
