Responsible for delivering the safe provision of one or more of the following activities with strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory and license obligations for the electricity distribution network:Operations, Fault Response & Maintenance Programmes Capital Investment Projects Customer Connections and Diversions Projects
What you'll be doingDeliver the district ED2 business plan by the effective management of activities such as project management, contract management, operational engineering with safety document activities up to 33kV including plant and protection commissioning Provide excellent customer service by organising robust communication activities to enable the delivery of project plans affecting local communities, customers, and stakeholders with minimal disruption and achieve outstanding customer feedback scores Promote an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety rules, instructions, procedures, and legislation are implemented and delivered through all activities Develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours amongst the team through the mentoring and coaching of less experienced team members including trainees People management responsibilities for up to 5 project engineers and project coordinators Ensure the accurate and timely capture and recording of data and the project closure processes within corporate systems including financial assurance Lead the integration of Operational Excellence principles in all undertakings
What you'll bringProject / programme management experience, with a strong performance and track record of driving and delivering projects including expert knowledge of CDM regulations and their application in project management Expert knowledge of the regulatory environment including relevant output and incentive mechanisms and key business drivers in which SP Energy Networks operates General contract, commercial and regulatory awareness with the ability to achieve effective and efficient customer service and project delivery Ability to manage competing priorities using sound engineering and financial judgement to determine optimal solutions Possess a sufficient technical and/or operational experience as demonstrated by substantial experience in a relevant engineering role within an electrical networks business It is desirable but not essential to hold, or have previously held, Senior Authorised Person status in the UK
