Laing O'Rourke have an excellent opportunity to work on Margam Substation. Laing O'Rourke, one of the UK's most advanced, and innovative, engineering and business services specialists.



The opportunity to work on this project as a Senior Engineer should not be missed.



Laing O'Rourke is an international engineering and construction company delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and buildings projects for clients in the UK, Middle East and Australia

Daily activities include:

Checking, reporting, assessing risk and managing scopes of work Physical inspections and creation of checklist against designs Using engineering judgement for correct response to challenges Liaison with stakeholders appropriate to the project Understanding of Temporary works (TWC) Management of Subcontractors Reporting into the Principal Engineer on a large package of works. Responsible for ensuring accurate instructions and pre-construction methods are in place. Experience of construction sequencing Knowledge of insitu and off-site engineering methods Able to understand the benefits of BIM Managing a team of between 2-5 Section Engineers

Daily activities include:

First degree in Civil Engineering Discipline, other construction related degree, or an industry recognised technical or engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, NVQ level 4) plus demonstrable experience in a construction delivery environment. Eligible to work in the UK / valid UK visa Professionally qualified / chartered by a recognised body - desirable
