Our work in Structure Assets Team and any given day can often feel quite different from the next! You will deliver a customer focused approach and will undertake a range of tasks including:
Providing engineering support for the Structures Maintenance programme and inspection of structures.
Planning, organising and undertaking structural inspections.
Support the management of the structures database system ensuring the safe delivery of inspections using WSCCs Framework providers for provision of access equipment and traffic management.
Identifying maintenance and repair works to structures and supervising minor construction works.
Supervising and managing bespoke contracts for Pump Servicing and Underwater Inspections.
Providing communication and support to our Customer Service Hub.
There will be some interaction with members of the public, for example, dealing with customer complaints and queries. There is a regular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English with members of the public.

Required experience and skills
A full valid UK driving license.
Customer service skills and the ability to seek and introduce continuous improvement and innovation, for self and team.
Analytical skills.
Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures applicable to the inspection of bridge structures.
Political awareness when working with members/senior management. Evidence of applying knowledge and providing advice in relation to specific specialist area.
Experience of delivering a maintenance and repair service. Experience of managing and monitoring budgets or projects for a service.
Ability to identify problems independently.
