Job Purpose:
Lead hardware project development and delivery within a cross-functional team.
Direct the design and execution of hardware devices and product packaging.
Collaborate with product development to establish rigorous qualification programs for hardware approval.
Communicate and enforce manufacturing and quality standards with external suppliers.
Guarantee project completion within deadlines, quality parameters, and specifications.
Design and engineer mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with design specifications, performance requirements, and manufacturing constraints, including the creation of 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Conduct design reviews and participate in cross-functional team meetings.
Generate and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including technical specifications, reports, and presentations.
Main Tasks:
Collaborate with global suppliers, both internal and external, to develop custom designs and qualify off-the-shelf technologies, ensuring alignment with RI business needs.
Guarantee that all innovations meet specified performance, quality, regulatory, and cost standards.
Facilitate timely and coordinated project delivery within multi-functional teams.
Conduct meetings to drive project objective attainment.
Utilise project trackers to document progress and ensure action item completion after engineering builds or tool trials, supporting PMO initiatives.
Partner with product development, markets, supply chain, quality assurance, regulatory, and operations teams as needed.
Secure product approval completion prior to technical sign-off.
Communicate project plans to support product development.
Provide technical recommendations and problem-solving solutions.
