FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Taunton, Somerset.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect who will work across different levels within the organisation to translate the business strategy into business change and technical delivery. You will take a strategic view across all architectural domains, portfolios and programmes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exposure to problem definition and shaping.
Responsibilities
Lead and influence the delivery of cross-cutting capabilities, enabling change
Identify opportunities for improvement while supporting a community or team, delivering team's objectives to meet organisational goals
Identify influences or risks while being a key member to the successful delivery of the long-term strategy
Maintain the enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmaps across domains, portfolios and programmes from a business, technology and data perspective, including 'as is', 'to be' and transitional states
Consult and support collaboration across the business while understanding the organisation's ecosystem and its interdependencies, including reference architectures
Guide the organisation to make appropriate business, technology and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability and scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk while utilising best practice
Establish architectural principles, policies as well as standards while developing the architecture community
Collaborate and consult with stakeholders across domains or enterprises, ensuring business, technology and data decisions align with enterprise architecture strategy
Carry out horizon scanning across industry, identifying emerging trends and their potential impact and opportunity for the organisation
About You

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture
Hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to go through SC Clearance
Problem solving skills with exposure to cross functional collaboration
Skilled in communicating with senior stakeholders, technical and non-technical audiences
Stakeholder management skills
Solid understanding of commercial processes with internal connections within a government department
Good understanding of different sourcing strategies and when to apply them
Able to proactively support the team
Understanding of Agile methodology & practices
Experience in designing architecture that defines technology, people, process and other elements needed to achieve organisation objectives
Experienced in using architectural governance and assurance to make design decisions and manage technical risks
Able to make and guide architectural design decisions characterised by medium risk and complexity
Experience in strategy design
