35 hours per week. We are a flexible employer and will consider a variety of working patterns; compressed hours, term time working or part time working on a case-by-case basis, depending on the role and departmental requirements.

Location:

Hybrid working model. Contractual base either at Meadowbank House, Edinburgh (EH8 7AU), or St Vincent Plaza, Glasgow (G2 5LD). You will be expected to occasionally visit one of these locations as per the requirements of the role.

The role



This is a key role in a small team providing risk management and business continuity support across RoS and is the ideal opportunity for both experienced and aspiring people managers.



The role holder's responsibilities include operational management of the ERM service, coaching and developing the team and service delivery through engagement with customers across the organisation (e.g. by facilitating risk assessments).



You will set the standard for the service and prioritise supporting your team to meet and exceed that standard. You will be confident in engaging at all levels of the organisation and collaborating with risk practitioners in other teams.



The role holder will play a pivotal part in maintaining and growing a healthy risk culture in which risk management is integral to how RoS conducts its business.

Job description



On a typical day you will





Manage the ERM team and resources to ensure team and individual objectives are achieved. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of ERM as a discipline. Demonstrate exemplary customer service by responding to customer needs and maintaining relationships, setting a standard for the team. Provide quality assurance for ERM service delivery through effective performance management and commitment to continuous professional development for team members. Support Head of ERM in Key Risk management support, including preparation of governance papers and attendance at governance groups including but not limited to the Executive Management Team, Audit and Risk Committee and RoS Board. Lead ERM support for change initiatives including projects, maintaining and improving ERM 'change risk' services. Support risk owners in escalating risks or managing risks that have been delegated. Provide support, education and training to staff across RoS to build risk awareness and risk maturity, and a healthy risk culture. Contribute to the wider Risk and Information Governance team's communications and engagement work, incorporating the intranet, events and other engagement activities. ###
