Job Summary:

As the Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction projects adhere to the highest environmental standards and regulations. You will be responsible for assessing and mitigating potential environmental impacts, developing sustainable strategies, and providing expert guidance to our project teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of projects that make a positive impact on the environment while promoting a culture of environmental consciousness within the company.

Responsibilities:

Environmental Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough environmental impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Sustainable Practices: Collaborate with project teams to incorporate sustainable practices and green initiatives into construction activities.

Environmental Monitoring: Oversee environmental monitoring programs to assess the impact of construction activities and adjust strategies as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local communities, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to address environmental concerns and foster positive relationships.

Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions to raise awareness among project staff about environmental policies, best practices, and regulations.

Environmental Documentation: Prepare comprehensive environmental reports, permit applications, and other necessary documentation.

Continual Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance environmental performance and recommend improvements in construction methodologies and materials.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in environmental advisory roles within the construction industry.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and best practices in the construction sector.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.

Problem-solving: Proven ability to identify environmental risks and provide innovative and practical solutions.

Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior environmental team members.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
