Job Role


We're looking for an Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team, supporting a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the North. From frameworks with local authorities to high-profile developments such as SPRINT Birmingham, urban realm redevelopments, and park & ride extensions in Manchester, you'll play a key role in driving sustainable delivery and environmental best practice.

Duties


Lead on environmental compliance across multiple sites, ensuring standards align with ISO 14001 and company procedures. Develop and maintain Project Environmental Management Plans, identifying risks and putting in place robust mitigation. Monitor, audit, and report on environmental performance (waste, water, noise, dust) and drive improvements. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and communities to manage environmental concerns and promote positive engagement. Champion environmental awareness on-site through training, forums, and communication campaigns.

Person Specification


Experience working in an environmental role within construction or civil engineering projects. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, with the ability to ensure compliance across sites. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders and project teams. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify improvements and deliver practical solutions. Flexibility to travel across project sites (full UK driving licence required).

Contract Type: Permanent


Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
