We are seeking a competent and motivated environmental health professional to join our commercial environmental health team. You will carry out a mixture of programmed inspections and reactive work involving food hygiene, infectious disease, nuisance, public health, occupational health and planning consultations.
You will be competent in delivering official food controls and, ideally, will have a broad experience of other areas of environmental health related work.
The environmental health team at Runnymede is a small and friendly department where you will be expected to support other colleagues working in other disciplines.

About You
We are looking for a food competent Environmental Health Officer to join our team who can deliver programmed and reactive food hygeine interventions and a reactive. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a range of skills and qualifications including:
Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict skills
Ability to select and use appropriate enforcement to acheive compliance
Experience in providing food hygeine advice to businesses of all sizes, including manufacturers, retailers, caterers and the hospitality sector
Registration with Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or equivalent meeting the requirements of the competency framework of the Food Law code of Practice for food hygiene inspectors.
