This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major UK infrastructure project as a Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor. Youxe2x80x99ll be based full-time on-site in one of the UKxe2x80x99s most remote and beautiful locations, playing a key role in delivering environmental and sustainability strategies on a large-scale energy infrastructure scheme. Backed by one of the countryxe2x80x99s most established contractors, this position offers job security, scope for progression, and the chance to genuinely shape how sustainability is embedded in complex, high-impact civil engineering works.The Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor will be responsible for:
xe2x80x93 Leading environmental and sustainability input across project stages from design through construction.
xe2x80x93 Engaging with regulatory bodies, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure environmental compliance and best practice.
xe2x80x93 Overseeing and improving environmental performance reporting and monthly KPIs.
xe2x80x93 Supporting permitting, licensing and mitigation strategies, particularly in relation to ecology, peatland, water and flood risk.
xe2x80x93 Providing guidance to junior advisors and contributing to a growing site-based environment team.
xe2x80x93 Playing a key role in sustainability training, upskilling, and knowledge sharing across the project.The Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor will have:
xe2x80x93 At least 5 years of environmental experience in a site-based construction, infrastructure or energy setting.
xe2x80x93 A solid understanding of UK environmental regulations, with practical experience handling compliance, ecology and land-based mitigation.
xe2x80x93 Experience working directly with regulators, delivering consents and managing permit conditions.
xe2x80x93 The ability to work independently in a remote site-based role (minimum 4 nights per week on Skye).
xe2x80x93 A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the project route.
xe2x80x93 Membership of a relevant body such as IEMA, CIWEM, or CIEEM (or working toward this).Vacancy Reference: PR/028322
