Description & Requirements

The Senior Solution Architect at Infor is responsible for owning and leading the functional solution design across Infor applications, ensuring alignment with Infor's Cloud Suite off-the-shelf solutions and industry best practices. This role demands strategic oversight of solution architecture governance, minimal customization emphasis, and innovation embedding to drive maximal business value for clients. The Senior Solution Architect works collaboratively with client stakeholders, internal teams, and other architecture roles to deliver coherent scalable, and maintainable solutions

Functional Solution Design Ownership

Own the end-to-end functional solution design across one or more Infor applications, primarily focusing on fit to standard configurations that minimise extensions and customisations. Ensure alignment of the solution design with industry best practices embedded within Infor's Cloud Suite offerings Shape and confirm the scope during sales and engagement phases, ensuring alignment to business outcomes and product roadmaps Maintain design integrity through to cutover, protecting the reuse of standard configurations and challenging unnecessary customisations

Architecture Governance

Set and enforce product-fit design standards and architecture governance for the application stream Approve configuration choices made by consultants, ensuring conformity with design principles and solution integrity Collaborate with Technical Architects to define application level RICE Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and data requirements Work with Enterprise and Industry Solution Architects to align application scope and maintain architectural consistency across the ecosystem

Innovation and Technology Enablement

Identify and champion opportunities to embed AI, automation, and emerging technologies within solution designs to enhance business outcomes Lead adoption of innovations that complement CloudSuites standard processes and deliver measurable client value Stay abreast of industry trends and Infors evolving technology capabilities to drive continuous solution improvement

Stakeholder Leadership and Team Coordination

Act as the primary architect for the application stream, especially for Edge (stand-alone) deployments owning full application architecture. Collaborate with senior client stakeholders, guiding them on solution strategy and design decisions. Lead and coordinate functional consultants and specialists, providing final decision-making authority on application design and scope. Partner with sales, delivery, and customer success teams to ensure smooth transitions from engagement through to delivery and ongoing support.

Consultancy and Strategic Alignment

Support sales and engagement teams by validating solution fit and defining business benefits aligned with client strategy Contribute to success roadmaps, benefits realization frameworks, and governance oversight to ensure delivery of promised business value Apply Principle Based Management (PBM) principles Vision, Virtue & Talents, Knowledge, Comparative Advantage, Motivation in all aspects of solution architecture

Risk Management and Quality Assurance

Identify architectural risks and manage change requests or deviations to maintain solution quality and client satisfaction Ensure security, privacy, and compliance requirements are incorporated within solution designs Develop roadmaps to migrate or extend solution components consistent with organizational strategy and cloud adoption plans

A day in the life typically includes

Lead the fit-to-standard solution design and scope shaping in collaboration with sales and delivery team Govern configuration and design integrity, approving consultant work and minimizing customizations Drive innovation through AI and new technology integration within solution designs Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery success Collaborate with technical and enterprise architects to ensure architectural consistency and data integration Oversee risk management, compliance, and quality assurance in architectural decisions Support benefits realization and articulate the business value of solutions aligned with client strategies

Basic Qualifications

Extensive experience in enterprise solution architecture, preferably within ERP or Cloud Suite environments Strong functional knowledge of Infor applications and industry best practices Proven ability to design fit-to-standard solutions minimizing customizations Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships Skilled in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance solution value Familiarity with SFIA skill framework and Principle Based Management (PBM) Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
