We deliver a full turnkey service that covers all aspects of electrical and civil work, taking projects from design through to installation and final commissioning. With a strong and growing pipeline of projects across the UK, we are expanding our estimating department to support continued growth.
The Role
We are seeking an
Estimator
with a strong technical understanding of both electrical and civil engineering works. The successful candidate will prepare accurate, competitive quotations for EV charging infrastructure projects, covering everything from design through to final commissioning of the EV chargers.
This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to liaise confidently with clients and suppliers. You will play a key part in ensuring our quotations are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed quotations for EV charging infrastructure projects, covering both
off-site ICP works
(network connections, substations, HV/LV cabling) and
on-site works
(car park groundworks, ducting, foundations, surfacing, and reinstatement).
Review drawings, specifications, and client briefs to develop accurate costings.
Liaise with clients and suppliers to clarify scope and gather pricing.
Ensure quotations are delivered on time and to a high standard of accuracy.
Work closely with project managers and directors to provide smooth handover from tender to delivery.
Maintain pricing databases and support the development of consistent estimating processes.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in estimating within electrical contracting, civil engineering, or utility infrastructure.
Technical knowledge of HV/LV installations, trenching, ducting, reinstatement, and associated civils.
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Good communication skills, with confidence in engaging clients and suppliers.
Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and using remote collaboration systems to manage projects and communication.
