We're a forward thinking construction/shop fitout company based in Gloucester with a strong track record of delivering high quality commercial shop fitout projects across the UK. We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator/Head of Estimating to lead our estimating function and drive strategic growth.

The Role

As the Senior Estimator / Head of Estimating, you will be responsible for overseeing all estimating activities across the business, ensuring accurate, competitive, and profitable tenders. You'll lead a team of estimators, collaborate with project managers and commercial teams, and play a key role in shaping our bidding strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the estimating department, mentoring junior estimators Prepare detailed cost estimates for a range of construction/shop fitout projects Analyse tender documents and identify risks and opportunities Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details Develop and maintain estimating tools, databases, and best practices Present estimates to senior leadership and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in construction or shopfitting Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent analytical and numerical abilities Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Commercial awareness and strategic thinking Exceptional communication and presentation skills
