Overview of the role



The role of Senior Event Technician plays a pivotal role within the Operations Team. Working alongside the Projects team, the role will develop an

excellent understand of upcoming assigned projects

, and what is required from each. Working with the Sales function, the role will develop an

excellent understanding of the client, their wants, needs and requirements.

Working with the Warehouse function the role will communicate prep and de-prep times along with any job specific requirements.

The Senior Event Technician will understand and interpret event plans and schedules to

ensure projects are delivered to agreed timescales and specifications.

Providing a central point of contact for onsite team members, the client and other stakeholders, the role will have an excellent understanding of all elements of a project. The role will be responsible for reporting back to the Operations and Sales functions on key performance indicators, ensuring any challenges are clearly communicated.

By taking a

'lead from the front;'

approach, the role will take a proactive approach in supporting and

building fellow team members knowledge, skills and confidence.

During busy period, the Senior Event Technician may be given other duties to carry out.

Roles & Responsibilities



- Lead and oversee the preparation and de-preparation of equipment, ensuring everything is ready for events.

- Take full responsibility for delivering projects on time and within budget.

- Act as the primary onsite contact, ensuring clear communication with clients and team members.

- Provide coaching and knowledge-sharing to support junior technicians.

- Lead by example with a can-do attitude, always maintaining professionalism.

- Support the warehouse team with general duties when required.

- Work flexibly across different areas of the business to ensure smooth operations.

People Management



- Lead and mentor junior team members, helping them develop their skills and confidence.

- Act as the onsite point of contact for clients, ensuring they are kept informed at all times.

- Oversee and manage a team of technicians, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and timescales.

- Foster a customer-first mindset, ensuring high levels of service and professionalism.

- Take an active role in personal development, continuously learning and improving.

Personal Specifications



- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Highly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.

- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and varied environments.

- Capable of lifting up to 16kg and placing items on shelves/platforms up to 1.65m high.

- Ability to repeatedly climb various ladders with a minimum of 10 rungs.

- Must meet all safety requirements for applicable policies and wear appropriate PPE throughout shifts.

- Valid driver's licence with an acceptable driving record.

- Comfortable with standing for long periods of time with walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-should reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leading and twisting.

Knowledge & Experience



- Must have a proven track record of at least 5 years working within the live events and event production industry.

- Ability to demonstrate excellent understanding of all technical elements within the live events industry, including but not limited to, lighting, audio, staging, vision, power and rigging.

- Must have a proven track record of at least 2 years leading a team.

- Must have at least 5 years working closely with clients to deliver their projects to agreed specifications.

- Ability to demonstrate active problem-solving skills.

- Must have a proven track record of adhering and delivering events to an agreed plan.
