An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Facilities Engineering team as a Senior Engineer, at Plessey Semiconductors Ltd. The facility infrastructure supports 3000m of cleanroom tooling, operating a 24/7 leading edge processing facility. Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership across several site facilities systems.
This is a permanent vacancy, and the normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (with an hour for lunch), although there may be occasional need to work extended hours to meet critical deadlines. This is a permanent vacancy working at the Plessey Semiconductors Ltd site in Roborough, Plymouth.

System ownership of mechanical services to ensure safe operation and continuity of services
Leading engineering improvements for existing facilities infrastructure across the site
Troubleshooting technical faults on electrical, controls and mechanical systems
Diligent management of in-house Computerised Maintenance Management system
Providing technical support and supervision to vendors and contractors
Working in project teams to meet the business goals
A minimum HNC Mechanical Engineering is preferred or suitable experience.
Must have a logical approach to problem solving with the capability of multi-tasking
Ability to work on own initiative or as a team with good communication skills
Organised, highly motivated and disciplined with a 'Can Do' attitude
Ability to be a member of the Emergency Response Team
Ability to work within a clean room environment
Ability to fully participate in improvement teams
IT skills working with CMMS and BMS packages
A sound knowledge/understanding on some of following building services:
Process Cooling water systems
HVAC (temp and humidity - cleanroom air conditioning)
Air compressors
Large chillers
Cooling towers
High purity gas delivery systems
De-Ionised water treatment plants
Effluent control systems (pH corrrection)
Process exhaust systems
Industrial boilers
Routine mechanical/electrical maintenance experience
Understanding and knowledge of the legal compliance.
Prior experience with a Building Management System (desirable)
Prior experience working as a Facilities/ Maintenance Engineer
