AWE is currently seeking a skilled Senior Facility Engineer to Deliver and lead professional engineering services to enable the Principal Asset Engineer in fulfilment of the strategy for the upkeep of all assets and equipment AWE needs in order to deliver the Programme. To join our team at the EPURE facility in Dijon, France. This role is to support a joint UK/French Radiographic and Hydrodynamics facility located 45 minutes from Dijon in France. The position is permanently based on the project in France for up to 5 years supporting the engineering team.

Package: \xc2\xa345,000 - \xc2\xa368,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Key Accountabilities:

Demonstration of safe, effective and ethical working behaviours.

Adherence to management system requirements for engineering activities.

Delivery of engineering tasks to schedule, budget and quality requirements.

Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

Additional accountabilities for this job profile may be defined and appointed through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements, with appointees listed within the Company Design Authorities and Technical Authorities, as held in the company management system.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply extensive domain and technical knowledge for design intent, as-built standards and system performance through life for engineered systems and structures.

Interpret and deliver the requirements of complex and high profile issued tasks from the Asset Engineering Solutions order book (including troubleshooting, quoting, reporting, design, commissioning and handover as required), and make evidence based professional engineering decisions to solve technical problems within area of responsibility.

Lead and advise engineers within bounds of own specialism in the delivery of innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.

Identify and escalate business risk arising from condition of engineered systems and structures, and follow up on actions.

Inform department or project engineering strategies.

Demonstrate adherence to management system requirements and relevant technical standards and advises others how to adhere efficiently.

Engage with company delivery and administrative requirements; report own and team progress honestly and clearly, communicate in an engaging manner, support performance management.

Optimise the delivery of Operations Engineering.

Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

HNC with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level.

Membership of an engineering institution.

Ability to lead engineering delivery across an equivalent manufacturing and/or research environment comprising a range of infrastructure facilities and associated manufacturing and/or research plant and equipment.

Leads delivery of facilities design engineering and maintenance services across the life of an asset.

This role will initially be based in the UK with the expectation that the employee (once visa are approved) will move to France for an assignment of up to 5 years. At the end of the assignment, the employee will be re-deployed back to the UK.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas. Experience working in a nuclear environment under licence conditions is desirable but not essential.
